Magnum Venus
Products enjoys an extensive history in the supply, service and
manufacturing of dispensing equipment. Founded over 60 years ago,
MVP equipment has been recognized around the world for engineering
excellence. As the leader in the FRP industry, Magnum Venus Products
is committed to supplying the most innovative technology available
on the market.
Working closely
with Jeff Bullock, a consultant in the petrochemical industry
who specialized in government regulatory compliance, MVP took
the innovative step and applied the impingement principles of
FIT® to air streams. The FIT®
(Fan Impingement Technology) Fan was the result. The FIT®
Fan was a revolutionary, modular air movement system that met
the needs of low cost, effective and efficient air movement. MVP
then opened a new division, Environmental Technologies headed
by Mr. Bullock, dedicated to developing and improving styrene
monitoring equipment, ventilation systems and the new FIT®
Fans.
The first
generation of the FIT® Fans were introduced
to the market in 1999, and was well received by the market. A
powdered coated steel fan required twice the energy, and weight
and noise were a challenge. Over the next two years, the Environmental
Technologies Division studied new manufacturing technologies to
lower the overall weight of the unit, improve energy requirements
and noise reduction without a loss of performance.
In 2001, MVP
began the process of patenting the air impinging streams technology,
and was granted "patent allowed" status. In 2002, F.I.T.
Ventilation™ became a new division of Magnum Venus Products,
and released the second generation of the FIT®
Fan. Addressing the weight and noise issues, the new F.I.T. Ventilation™
System features a light-weight roto-molded shroud, corrosion resistant
pultrusion frames and two custom ½ HP motors. Improvements
to the overall design included a new bell shaped tapered shroud,
increasing air velocity and volume which is controlled by the
pitch of the blades.
Since its
release, customers have reported very positive results including:
significantly lowering styrene emissions, operator cooling in
summer, an energy saver in winter months by pushing hot air trapped
at the ceiling back down to the work area, and improvements in
product curing times.
In July 2008
F.I.T. Ventilation™
was acquired by Air Dyne Technologies and will continue to develop innovative, independent ventilation technologies,
including a misting system to reduce static charges in production
areas, that will serve the FRP, recreational, agricultural and
general industries and many more.
